Introduction

This blog decodes the Deemed MBBS Cutoff 2025 round-wise, offering insights from past years to help you make informed decisions while filling choices.

What Influences Deemed MBBS Cutoffs?

Several factors impact the cutoff for Deemed Medical Colleges:

  1. NEET UG Paper Difficulty

  1. Number of NEET-qualified students

  1. Seat availability per quota (Mgmt/NRI/Minority)

  1. College reputation & preference trends

  1. Fee structure & location accessibility

  1. State/Minority-specific demand (e.g., Muslim or Jain Quota)

Round-wise Counselling Overview

MCC conducts Deemed MBBS counselling in multiple rounds:

  • Round 1 – Initial allotment based on highest merit

  • Round 2 – Candidates who upgraded or didn’t participate in Round 1

  • Mop-Up Round – For vacant seats left after Round 2

  • Stray Vacancy Round – College-level round for last-minute vacant seats

Cutoff scores tend to go down in later rounds which gives lower ranked candidates a chance at top colleges.
