If you're dreaming to become a doctor in uniform, AFMC is the place. But before applying, it is crucial to understand the eligibility criteria for AFMC MBBS Admission 2025 — covering age, marks, nationality, fitness, and more.

NEET 2025 Requirement

The first eligibility requirement is that the candidate must qualify NEET UG 2025.
NEET qualification is mandatory for all Indian students.
AFMC doesn't accept students who haven't appeared for NEET 2025.

Age Limit and Educational Qualifications

Minimum Age                    17 years as on 31st December 2025
Maximum Age                 Must not exceed 24 years (for candidates with B.Sc.)
Educational Qualification 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English
Minimum Marks                  60% aggregate in PCB, and at least 50% in each subject individually
Attempt Limit                         No limit, as long as age and qualification criteria are met

Physical Fitness: Height & Vision Standards

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the prescribed military standards.
Medical tests will be conducted at AFMC during the screening round.
Visual standards are checked and must fall within limits.

Minimum Height:

Boys                              157 cm
Girls                              152 cm
Gorkhas/North-East       5 cm relaxation

Vision Standards:

  • Distant Vision: Should not be worse than 6/6 (corrected) and 6/9 in the better eye.
  • Color Vision: Must be normal.
  • Night Blindness: Not allowed.

Marital Status

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
  • Married applicants are not eligible for AFMC admission.


Other Mandatory Conditions

  • Indian citizenship is mandatory. candidates should convert to Indian citizenship before applying.
  • Students must provide all original certificates at the time of admission.

Unlike civilian colleges, AFMC students undergo military drills, physical training, and must handle fieldwork post-MBBS. Hence, the eligibility filters are not just academic — they ensure that you’re ready for a demanding military career.
