BSMS full form is Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and
Surgery, a 5.5-year undergraduate degree in Siddha system of
medicine — one of the oldest traditional medicine systems that originated
in Tamil Nadu, India.
Siddha is a holistic healing science that focuses on
balancing the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) and three
humors (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) using herbal, mineral, and lifestyle therapies.
It is regulated by the Ministry of AYUSH and National Commission for
Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
