Admission Process 2025 – Everything You Need to Know
BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) in 2025, it’s important to understand how the admission process works.
Any aspirants want to take BAMS admission in any colleges
offering BAMS course in India will be done only through NEET Score. Since
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the only one entrance
examination across India, no other exam is conducted for admission to BAMS
course in India. NEET is conducting by the National Testing Agency (NTA). So as
to get the BAMS admission, aspirants should appear for the National Eligibility
cum Entrance Test (NEET).
BAMS Course Counselling: The Counselling for successful
candidates under 15% All India Quota seats in Government, Government Aided and
Private Ayurveda Colleges and 100% seats of Deemed Universities/Central
Universities/National Institutes will be conducted by AYUSH
Step 1: Qualify NEET UG 2025
The first and most essential step to get admission
into BAMS is to qualify the NEET UG 2025 exam. All BAMS admissions –
whether private, government, or deemed institutions – require a valid NEET
score.
Tip: For a government
BAMS seat, aim for 400+ marks (varies state-wise).
Step 2: Register for AACCC Counselling
Once NEET UG results are out, students need to register for AACCC Counselling under the Ministry of AYUSH.
Types of BAMS Seats Through Counselling:
- 15%
All India Quota (AIQ)
- Central
Universities/Deemed Universities
- National
Institutes (e.g., NIA Jaipur)
AACCC conducts Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray
Vacancy Round for seat allocation.
Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking
You will be asked to choose your preferred colleges and lock
your choices. Make sure to:
- Research
cut-offs from previous years
- Check
college fees, location, and internship facilities
- Prioritize
government colleges (lower fees, higher ROI)
Step 4: Seat Allotment and Reporting
Based on your NEET score and preference, you will be
allotted a seat. You must:
- Download
the provisional allotment letter
- Report
to the college with original documents
